Non DEAD, dog related (careful...) |
Hey all--woke up this morning to findout this little guy can't walk any more...back trouble (just like me). Anyhow, some of you have been seeing him here for yrs, but it'll be keeping me busy for a while as we figure out what to do.
Take care,
WT

Re: Non DEAD, dog related (careful...) |
Uggh. This brings back all the pain I just went through with Kenzie.
I'll ask Kenzie to keep an eye on things and hope for the best for your pup. I know I'm late plugging in to this thread, but keep us posted.
Damn but this sitch brings back some raw feelings - I hope you don't have to go through them again so soon after losing Wyatt.

Oh William, I'm so sorry to hear about Jock. And so soon after losing Wyatt.
Hoping for the best for you and Jock!

Absolutely, CLIFF; tough on the heels of our beloved Wyatt, for sure.
Thanks for remembering. That was him to the left of little Jockers in the one photo.

Re: Non DEAD, dog related (careful...) |
I really hope he's OK. For what it's worth, something similar happened to our dog about a year ago; his back suddenly gave out and he couldn't walk. We had to feed him meds and keep him in cage confinement and carry it in and out of the house for him to poo and pee for two weeks. He was like a king in his sedan chair, and we were his servants. But now he's fine.
Well, except for the fact that he got a blood infection last month and became skin and bones almost overnight and had a near-collapse of his liver and we had to bring him into the vet every morning for a week for injections and he's still on daily meds and iron supplements.
But he's also all tail-waggy and eating again and playing with our other dog again ...
Both of them say "get well soon" to your pup. Well, no, they say "give me a belly rub." But I'm sure they would if they could! And I do :-)

Re: Non DEAD, dog related (careful...) |
Just what the doc ordered, Rose! He's as cranky as I am however, and it makes it hard to pick him up and keep him quiet, BUT on the bright side, he doesn't mind the two weeks away from the "bitch", shown below, who rides herd on him 24/7 now that she replaced Wyatt, and somehow decided she's dominant. Yes, she really sits/sleeps on that marble podium/table!? Coolest part of the house...ask SDH, though I think his compound is a cave complex.

Re: Bill, Ring, and all... |
Jock and I send our thanks...two wks bedrest, and we should be improving. We've been down this road before, with Katie, the original corgi...
Thanks again for the thoughts and wishes. He'll have a treat and a belly rub in the Forum's honor.
He insists that if as cantankerous as he is, if he can tolerate Darci, the dark she-bitch of Wales (shown above if you care), CLIFF and Rob can probably work things out as well.
